Mark de Clive-Lowe (MdCL) is a NZ-Japanese musician, producer and DJ based in the UK for the last decade, now in LA, and at the forefront of the global beats, jazz and soul community. He is a devastatingly PHENOMENAL live performer, creating studio production on stage from scratch using drum machines, keyboards and effects. He has collaborated with a range of artists including Kenny Dope, Jody Watley, Omar, Bugz in the Attic, Dego (4Hero), percussionist Sammy Figueroa(Miles Davis), bass player Pino Palladino (D’angelo/John Mayer), DJ Spinna, Leon Ware, Dame Shirley Bassey and plenty more. BUDSPELLSBudspells is a strong alliance formed in 2005 with Salmonella Dub and the Dub Conspiracy Music Group! Core members MC Kye and Ants (Producer) both have extensive individual histories each stretching beyond a decade and yes.. they are both originally from New Zealand! MC Kye hails from Te Awamutu but relocated to Australia fifteen years ago and has spent most of the time since operating out of Bondi Beach singing with various reggae bands and Australian hip hop groups. Ants is the studio guy and natural musician. Ants cut his studio teeth in the UK and spent a substantial period of time living in Wellington working with the likes of Mu (Fat Freddy's Drop) and The Dental Records. Elchino feat AniKiko Elchino aka Trevor Parkee, is a Dj/radio presenter. As the pilot for long flying radio show, Departure Lounge which airs every Saturday afternoon on 2SER 107.3. Elchino's eclectic selection covers musical genres from old/nu jazz, broken beat, Brazilian, Latin, soul, funk to folk and electronica. Elchino started his dj career in the early eighties as a part of the 'All Funked Up' dj collective with Simon Caldwell, Kid Dolphin and the Continental. Just recently Elchino has added the sultry sounds of Kiko (El Chiko) to his dj set. Her vocals scat and flute weaves in and out over funky jazzy beats. Voice of 'AniKIKO', Ani has been described as "the 'new' Portishead of the Y Generation", "her voice being like a clear mountain stream of diamonds, sweetened with honey and liquid gold..". Raw, rare and full of flavour, Kiko enchants with lyrics and a sound that is remembered by your body and registered in your Soul.
